{"id":688,"date":"2020-12-22T23:56:20","date_gmt":"2020-12-22T23:56:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ishygddt.xyz\/~blog\/?p=688"},"modified":"2022-03-08T19:00:16","modified_gmt":"2022-03-08T19:00:16","slug":"documenting-gab-controlled-opposition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.ishygddt.xyz\/~blog\/2020\/12\/documenting-gab-controlled-opposition","title":{"rendered":"Is Gab a controlled-opposition operation?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This post will be sort of an \"archive\" of everything about Gab that gives me the heebie-jeebies.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gab <a href=\"https:\/\/gab.com\/shadowknight412\/posts\/105218058977837980\">bails on Federation<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>They <a href=\"https:\/\/gab.com\/shadowknight412\/posts\/105218388615264309\">refuse<\/a> to take down their site\u2019s advertising claiming otherwise<\/li>\n<li>Gab influencer (Pro account with 1.2k followers, posts too many merch promos to plausibly not be an employee) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">ghosts me<\/span> after I <a href=\"https:\/\/gab.com\/simply_doit\/posts\/105234465612111708\">refute<\/a> his public grandstanding that Gab is in any way, shape, or form \u201cbeing built specifically to <em>[sic]<\/em> diverge from Big Tech\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Fake News accounts (in the unironic, full-blooded, MSM-Boogeyman sense) running <em>rampant<\/em>:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gab.com\/Your_Feelings_Dont_Matter\">@Your_Feelings_Dont_Matter<\/a> (1.2k followers)\n<ul>\n<li>ontinued doubling down on fake \"Nuremberg Code\" post until <a href=\"https:\/\/gab.com\/simply_doit\/posts\/105238483209674849\">soundly refuted<\/a>, then ghosted the thread<\/li>\n<li>Is not ejected from the 56k+-member, <strong>otherwise extremely actively-moderated<\/strong> group in which he made such a blatantly fake post<\/li>\n<li>and is <a href=\"https:\/\/gab.com\/Your_Feelings_Dont_Matter\/posts\/105391406414042597\">back at it again<\/a>, on his own timeline this time<\/li>\n<li>Heuristically, IMO, the timeline looks <em>inhuman<\/em><\/li>\n<li>I <em>have<\/em> reported it, with text \u201cPossible bot account\u201d\n<ul>\n<li><code class=\"\" data-line=\"\">date: Tue, 22 Dec 2020 23:54:44 GMT<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code class=\"\" data-line=\"\">cf-request-id: 072e797b5d0000f7801c90c000000001<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code class=\"\" data-line=\"\">x-request-id: 082a8694-8c0e-47b2-9c7f-fe8d39b122f4<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gab.com\/keksarmy\">@keksarmy<\/a> (90 followers, <strong>Pro account<\/strong>)\n<ul>\n<li>Has been posting at a <em>monotonic<\/em> rate since late September<\/li>\n<li>Is clearly using a bot to post the articles to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">multiple groups<\/span> (the <em>\u0394t<\/em> between some is inhumanly small, despite the filler text associated with the posts); it's made <strong>300 posts<\/strong>, most of which are links to \u201cshadilay.com\u201d between Sep.27\u2013Dec.19 2020<\/li>\n<li>The fact that this website <strong>has been dead<\/strong> since <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20180118155012\/shadilay.com\/\">at least January 2018<\/a> has not stopped <em>Gab\u2019s website itself<\/em> from loading all the post thumbnails and excerpts!
